Skye

Age: 5 1/2 Years
Sex: Female
Size: Average

Congratulations Skye!!!

Skye is a 5 1/2 year old red and white girl with a thick luxurious coat and brilliant blue eyes. She wants nothing more than to be loved and be with her “sister” Nala. She loves to come and greet you with a gentle paw in your lap that quickly turns into husky hugs.

Skye and Nala came in to our rescue together when they were found running loose. Sadly, nobody came forward for these great Siberians and we welcomed the girls in and are thoroughly enjoying them. They are very affectionate and love to share an open crate to nap in. They are great with the other dogs and visitors fall in love with them. Skye and Nala are housebroken and trustworthy in the house as long as you are willing to share the couch and your lap with them!

These sisters are a bonded pair who love and depend on each other. We simply cannot separate them and they will go to a lucky home together – double the fun! If you are looking for two wonderful huskies full of love, please ask us more about Skye and Nala.

In Memory of Sadie

Age: 10 – 12 Years
Sex: Female
Size: Average

Dearest Sadie ~ Wear your silver harness proudly as you dance among the stars. You are free of the pain that once held you back, now you can run and play as you once did. You are horribly missed, but will live forever in our hearts. Until we meet again, dear friend… ~ February 2013

Sadie came to MaPaw in December 2011 a sweet senior whose past was a mystery. She soon settled in and we could tell she was happy to be part of a family again.

Shortly after she joined her foster home, we noticed that she would startle easily and it looked as though she had doggy dementia. For that reason, we decided it would be best for Sadie to remain in her foster home as a permanent resident. She enjoyed napping on her favorite blanket in the house or lounging in the sun in the yard.

Sadie began to slow down, but remained happy. Her hips and hind legs were beginning to fail her and we did everything that we could to keep her comfortable. Sadly, Sadie could no longer get up on her own and was clearly in pain when she was assisted to stand. Although it broke our hearts, we helped Sadie begin her journey North of the Rainbow Bridge. In the arms of her humans, she passed quickly and peacefully.

Zelda

Age: 4 – 5 Years
Sex: Female
Size: Average

Congratulations Zelda!!!

Zelda is a beautiful black and white Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute with longer hair, baby blue eyes and a splash of adorable freckles. She somehow lost her family and is estimated to be four to five years old.

Zelda is a friendly girl, however, she seems a little sad and missing her old family. We are encouraging her with lots of love and kind words and plenty of snuggle time on the couch. She loves to go on walks and is very good on a leash.

Zelda is crate trained, however, is very trustworthy in her foster home. She is friendly with other dogs that are rather low key and will also be fine as an only dog with lots of attention and love. Zelda joined MaPaw with a history of epilepsy and seizures, which is controlled with inexpensive medication.

If you are looking for a sweet girl that will be a wonderful companion, Zelda may be the right one for you!

Stryker

Age: 8 Years
Sex: Male
Size: Average

Congratulations Stryker!!!

Stryker is an eight year old black and white Siberian Husky with piercing blue eyes and adorable freckles that are sure to melt your heart. This boy is a “classic” husky and a teddy bear that we have fallen in love with. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle right after he has a good romp with the dogs. He is especially sweet on Meadow (also available) and they just love to play!

Stryker is friends with everyone in the rescue, he gets along with all people and pups. He is crate trained, but is trustworthy loose in the house. Stryker came into rescue with a history of epilepsy and seizures and is on an inexpensive medicine which is quite effective. We have seen no seizures at all during his stay with us and we will continue to watch over this lovely boy.

If you are looking for a best friend, this guy may just be the one for you ~ he is a keeper!

Sky

Age: 3 Years
Sex: Female
Size: Average

Privately Placed by Owner

Sky is a three year old red and white Siberian that has looks and personality! This girl is currently in her home with a smaller dog that suffers from seizures and it will be best for both pups to be separated at this time. Her family loves her very much, but they know they need to make sure both dogs are not stressed.

Sky is very affectionate and likes to give gentle kisses and go for long walks. She knows sit, come and shake. She is crate trained. She loves to cuddle and likes to play with toys. She is very friendly with strangers and people, walks well with other dogs and respects boundaries (fences and baby gates). True to her breed, if no one is looking and there is food on the counter… it will be Sky’s!

Sky is the perfect age ~ past the puppy pranks and full of energy and love. If you are looking for a new best friend, please consider this wonderful Sibe!

Tippy

Age: Approximately 3 Years
Sex: Female
Size: Average

Congratulations Tippy!!!

Click here to check out my video on YouTube!

Tippy is a Chow/Siberian Husky (Chusky) mix that is adorable and she knows it! This little girl somehow lost her family and found herself needing a little help from some friends ~ MaPaw is happy to love and care for her until a new and forever home can be found.

Tippy is ready to take on the world and is extremely affectionate with people. She fancies herself as a lap dog, loves to cuddle (when she stops wiggling) and never tires of giving kisses. Tippy is an alpha female and does need to be supervised when around other dogs. Smaller dogs and older dogs are not a good match for her.

Tippy is a beautiful pup estimated to be two years old and would do best in a home familiar with the chow and/or husky breed. She is housebroken, crate trained and trustworthy in the house.

Trudi

Age: Approximately 6 – 8 Years
Sex: Female
Size: Average

Congratulations Trudi!!!

Trudi is a black and white “larger than life” Siberian we immediately fell in love with. She is approximately six to eight years old who somehow lost her family. Trudi came to us at a staggering 107 pounds and bloodwork determined she is hypothyroid – a condition that causes her to easily gain weight. Fortunately, this is very easy to control with inexpensive medicine.

Trudi is one of the sweetest dogs around. She “dances” by shifting her weight back and forth on her front paws when she is happy or excited ~ we call it her “happy dance”. She loves to smile and cuddle with her humans ~ what a sweetheart! She walks very well on a leash and daily walks are now part of her exercise routine, which she loves.

Trudi has settled into her foster home and is doing very well. We are very excited ~ she will have a weigh-in and repeat thyroid testing late November to see how she is adjusting to her meds.

Stay tuned for MaPaw’s own version of the “Biggest Loser”, but one thing is for sure ~ this gal is a winner!

Zeke

Age: Approximately 3 Years
Sex: Male
Size: Average

Congratulations Zeke!!!

Click here to check out my video on YouTube!

Zeke is a handsome two year old Siberian with piercing blue eyes. He is quite the charmer who is always up for a good time!

Zeke loves to play with other pups (his size or larger). He enjoys scootering and biking with his foster family. He is great in the car and loves road trips. An active home with another pup would be the perfect fit for this guy.

Zeke is a fun-loving boy who sometimes find himself in the middle of mischief. He is a climber and can easily scale any chain link fence, so a 6 foot privacy fence is a must for Zeke! He is a curious pup who will need a family willing to crate him when they’re not home to supervise his “explorations”.

Looking for an active pup with a gentle soul to add to your family? If you have another active pup and a 6 foot privacy fence, then Zeke might be your guy!

Busy Weekend for MaPaw

Hello Puppers!
This past weekend (October 22nd & 23rd) was a very busy weekend for the pups (and humans) of MaPaw.

We started off the weekend at the Fido Fest on Saturday. It was perfect Husky weather! We had some of our adorable pups out and about greeting the public.

Dash, Blaze, Scotty and Jack all made appearances on Saturday. They met many admirers and got lots of great pets. Dash, Blaze and Jack made a second appearance at the event on Sunday. Scotty decided to stay home cause he was pooped out!

Our “Delaware Gang” did an incredible job setting up our site for the 2 day event. Thanks Dawn, Kelly, Steve, John, Ann, Tom and Denise for bringing out the pups and making this weekend a great event! Our Husky mascot did a great job strutting his stuff and greeting our visitors (both canine and human)!

On Sunday morning, Applebee’s (in Pottstown, PA) hosted a pancake breakfast fundraiser. All proceeds benefitted MaPaw’s pups. We were joined by many of our supporters for a delicious meal (I mean, really, who doesn’t like pancakes?) and we got to catch up with old friends. Our mascot was on hand to greet the kids and wave people in for a warm breakfast on a brisk morning.

Thanks to all who joined us for breakfast! We had a great time and look forward to dining with you again!

Blaze

Age: 6 Years
Sex: Male
Size: Average

Congratulations Blaze!!!

Click here to check out my video on YouTube!

Blaze is a red and white male Siberian Husky at the wonderful age of six – old enough to know better and young enough to have lots of fun. Due to life changes, Blaze’s family feels it would be best for him to find a family that can devote more time to this handsome boy.

Blaze is a gentle teddy bear and an absolute love! He has a beautiful thick, soft coat that is just perfect for hugs. He loves belly rubs and rolls right over any time he sees a chance for one. He gives great kisses and wants to greet everyone he meets.

Blaze prefers the company of another pup and for that reason, he will only be placed in a home with another canine companion. When Blaze is alone, he becomes a little anxious or bored and if not crated will sometimes chew.
