Zeus

~Congratulations Zeus!

Sex: Male
Age: 8 years
Size: Large

Zeus is an 8 year old male Siberian husky with a red and white coat and warm brown eyes.  Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances his family feels it best to find him another home and we have promised to help find a wonderful new family to give Zeus a new lease on life.

Zeus has a wonderful personality and is usually a laidback sort of guy.  He loves to go on walks and then is happy to chill with someone that will share the couch.  He is housebroken and crate trained.  He is very affectionate and just enjoys being nearby. He is good with other dogs and will join in the games for a while. He has lived with small children and has been wonderful with them.  We feel Zeus would be OK as a single dog as long as he gets frequent walks and lots of attention.

If you are looking for a calmer Siberian with unconditional love, Zeus may be the perfect match for you!

Mina

Congratulations Mina!!!

Mina is approximately 5 months old and the world is hers! This husky puppy is full of spunk and curiosity and is a typical high energy pup. She loves to play and when she is finally tired out she is more than happy to cuddle up with her human friends – until it’s time to play again!

Mina is good with other dogs. She is no shrinking violet and can be quite bossy at times. She will be best placed with another active dog that will allow her to be the alpha.

Mina has a friendly, outgoing personality. She does tend to guard her food and will need to be fed separately from her other canine pals. She loves toys and plays nicely with them; however, if given a chance, this little girl will grab and run.

If you are up for the puppy challenge and have the time and patience to work with Mina so she becomes a great companion pet, please contact us with any questions or submit our on line application. Are you ready for a diva in your life?

Monty

20130817-142400.jpg

~Congratulations Monty!!

Monty is best described as the “class clown” ~ he is always looking for fun. He came to us as a stray and we estimate him to be between 8 months and 1 year. He is still very thin and needs some weight as he grows older.
If there is a game in the play yard, Monte is usually right there. He is friendly with all of the other sibes and has a happy-go-lucky personality, eager for people attention and love. He loves walks and car rides and just being where he can belong.
Monty has handsome looks and a great personality. He is eager to have the one thing he is missing… a forever family to love. If you are looking for a new best bud to enjoy walks and games and just to hang out, Monty may be a wonderful addition to your life.

Henry

Henry~Congratulations Henry!

Age: 4 months
Sex: Male
Size: Puppy

Henry is a four month old red and white husky puppy that loves everyone. A game starting up? Henry is ready! New dogs to meet? First in line is Henry! This puppy is delighted with everything around him and is constantly playing and exploring.

Henry was purchased by a family that wasn’t ready for an intense husky puppy and the attention and training necessary. “Oh Henry” is as sweet as the candy bar, however, needs a loving, structured home where he can grow and mature.

Henry is an adorable pup, but ishigh energy and will benefit with another dog to play with and tire him out.
“A tired husky is a good husky”. His ideal home will be with another husky and a solid fence to keep him safe and sound.

If you are ready for the puppy challenge and have the time and patience to devote to Henry, please contact us about this wonderful pup.

Buddy

20130817-205626.jpgCongratulations Buddy!!
Age: 1.5
Sex: Male
Size: Large

Buddy is one and one-half year old husky mix (Great Pyr perhaps?) that just want to have fun. He is a happy-go-lucky pup that loves to play with other dogs and then enjoy people company. Poor buddy was in a home with another dog that did not like him and Buddy became fearful of the resident dog.

Buddy is a playful youngster that will benefit from basic manners ~ He loves everyone and gets so excited he will jump up to meet you “face to face”. Buddy needs an active home and would be best with another dog to play with or a person that will take him for long walks, jogging, etc. His prior records indicate he will become anxious when left alone and a canine companion will keep him company.

Buddy is still very much a puppy with a high energy level. If you are looking for someone to be part of your active life, please ask us more about him. Everyone needs a Buddy in their life!

In Memory of Aero (Bobo)

20130716-194253.jpg

July 16th, 2013 – Over the last year, Aero (Bobo) has continued to slow down. Geriatric bloodwork, confirmed he was in good health, he was just getting tired. Recently he was unable to get up and when assisted, he often fell. His mind was sharp and he wanted to be loved, but finally we knew it was time to give Bobo release from his stiffness, pain and confusion. This afternoon, after a special ice cream party and circled with those who loved him the most, Bo gently and peacefully began his final journey. God Speed dear friend ~ until we meet again.

In Memory of Jack

Age: 10 Years
Sex: Male
Size: Average

Rest in Peace

June 25, 2013 – Today, under a shade tree at the farm, Jack, Pat and I had a quiet
going away party. Jack enjoyed meatballs and part of a cheeseburger, as he lifted his frail head towards the breeze. It was the first time he had eaten anything substantial for 3 days and he could no longer walk. He began his final journey, circled with love.
Jack ~ wear your silver harness with pride ~ you no longer have limitations or pain and you are whole again. God Speed sweet boy,
candles are lit for your dance among the stars to the Bridge. Go swiftly, you have a special super moon to guide your way.

Jack is a MaPaw alum that sadly found his way back to rescue after two years. We are lucky to have him back and he is lucky to be with us. For reasons we will never understand, his family chose not to let us know that they could no longer keep him and, instead, they abandoned him at a local shelter. Fortunately, the shelter found out he was a MaPaw dog and immediate arrangements were made to bring Jack back to MaPaw.

When Jack arrived at the farm, we greeted him with gentle hugs and tears. He was obviously very sick and in pain. His hind end is very weak and arthritic. All testing and blood work points towards cancer. After discussions with the vet and taking into account Jack’s physical condition, it is agreed that we will let our big boy continue to enjoy his life and not subject him to invasive procedures and/or surgery.

Jack has been with us for six months now and has settled into his own routine ~ a little exploring and mingling with some of the other pups and then back to his warm bed in the office. Please send good thoughts and “sibe vibes” for Jack. He is a happy boy that is being pampered and loved here with his friends.
