Thought I would share some more good news…..

Dusty, our 3 year old Shepherd mix found his furever home! This poor guy had wandered into a good samaritan’s yard and despite our best efforts, nobody claimed him. We couldn’t believe that nobody was looking for this guy. He’s such a cool pup ~ loves to play, gets along great with other dogs and loves people.

His new family met him and instantly fell in love. He’s settled into his new home nicely and is enjoying his family.

Three of MaPaw’s gals have found their furever homes! Woo woo!!!

Delia had been with MaPaw since October 2008. This young lady is full of energy, which is great for her new sister Sibe! Delia was just waiting around for the perfect home and she certainly found it.

Nanook had been adopted last year, but had to return to MaPaw due to family issues. Her foster family welcomed her back with open arms. While they were sad to say goodbye to Nanook, her foster family couldn’t have asked for a better family to adopt her.

Miss Brandy had actually met her family a few weeks ago. They had decided that since they were going to be traveling, it would be in her best interest to wait until they came back to officially adopt her. Brandy is a very sensitive Sibe and doesn’t adjust to change as quickly as others. Her new parents understand that and will stop at nothing to be sure she is comfortable.

We can’t wait to hear updates on how our gals are doing. We’ll be sure to share photos and stories as soon as we get them!!

Hello Puppers ~

It seems that we have successfully confused many of our readers as to which Chloe is which. So one of our good friends, Aleeya, asked that we post pictures of both Chloes to help figure it out.

Princess Chloe (not the Chloe writing this post) is pictured here in her shades. Her pack includes Boston, Taser, Sage, Callie and Aero (a new foster who is in need of MAJOR TLC).

I, Princess Chloe’s Side-Sibe, am pictured below. My pack includes Niko, Scout and Delilah. I live about 45 minutes north of Princess Chloe.

Princess Chloe is about a year older than me. When I came into rescue, I had no name (I was a stray). Kathy took one look at me and said, “She looks just like my Chloe”. My foster Mum agreed, so my name became Chloe. I was just a pup when Pat and Kathy dropped me off at my foster home. I loved it ~ dogs to play with, a yard to dig in and a giant water bowl with an endless supply of water (I know because I kept trying to empty it on the kitchen floor and the darn thing kept filling up!). I liked it so much that after only 8 days, I convinced my foster parents that I needed to stay. They agreed and I’ve been here ever since.

I hope this helps with the confusion!!

All of my Valentine’s Day cards have been signed, sealed with a husky kiss and are on their way to my special someones. I’m sure my Mum has bought us special Valentine’s treats to help us celebrate.

This year, I’ve asked my Mum to send some special treats to my friends at MaPaw too. Although they are in loving foster homes, there’s really nothing like having a family to call your own.

When you’re out buying your Valentine’s Day cards for your loved ones, how about joining me in sending a card to one of the great pups in foster care at MaPaw? It would really brighten up their day to know that you are thinking of them. If you want, you can send a donation in their name, maybe send them a special treat or just a card ~ I’m sure they would really appreciate it.

Right now, these guys are staying with MaPaw’s foster families: Maya, Tundra, Phoenix, Renee, Chooey, Cota, Mikayla, Cocoa, Misty, Princess, Snowball, Random, Dakota, Tyco, Van and Callie. Good evening Puppers ~

Do you remember the sisters that were supposed to go to their new home last week, but the bad weather held up their trip? We had originally reported that they were going to meet their new Mum on Monday. Well, those silly girls just couldn’t wait that long….So they decided that Sunday would be a lot better!

That’s right ~ our sisters have been in their furever home since Sunday. They’ve settled into their new digs and they love it!

We are all so happy for them and we hope to get updates soon!!

Gabe had joined MaPaw with the understanding that it could be a while before he was ready to start his search for a furever home. His foster family welcomed Gabe with open arms and prepared to start the long journey with this gentle young man. Gabe is very slow to trust humans and is wary of quick movements and loud noises. His foster family has shown young Gabe patience and love in the hopes that they will soon gain his trust.

Great news for Gabe ~ his foster family has decided that they can’t imagine him not being a member of their pack. We could not be more excited for Gabe!! He could not have found a better home. He loves to run and play with his canine siblings. Each day, Gabe takes a tiny step closer to becoming the dog we all know he can be.

Good luck to Gabe and his family! We look forward to many happy updates…

As you may recall, Phoenix was scheduled to have his eye surgery today. We were all waiting to hear word on how his surgery went. Early this afternoon we got great news ~ Phoenix’s surgery was done and he was on his way home! His surgery went well and we are told that he was a model patient.

Here’s a photo of Phoenix on his way home from the hospital…

He had plenty of tail wags for his foster parents when they picked him up. He’s a sleepy boy, but he’s happy to be back in his foster home where he’ll receive plenty of TLC as he recovers.

Way to go Phoenix!!!

THE SNOW IS FALLING!!!! I have been patiently waiting all day and it’s finally here! I can’t wait to see how much is on the ground tomorrow morning when I wake up….

Last night, Princess Chloe told you about Tabatha and Sabrina ~ those 2 senior gals that were going to their forever home today. Unfortunately because of the weather, their trip had to be postponed. I know the gals were looking forward to meeting their new Mum, but everyone’s safety is much too important to take a chance. They won’t have to wait much longer because their trip has already been rescheduled for Monday.

Also, please keep Phoenix in your thoughts. Tomorrow is his big day and he will be having the eye surgery that his 2 angels have sponsored. Since poor Phoenix has glaucoma, he’s been having some discomfort. The doc is going to remove a portion of each of his eyes, which will then be replaced with prosthetics. We are so excited for Phoenix and hope that after tomorrow his eyes won’t cause him any more pain. We are sending him lots of sibe vibes and husky kisses. We’ll post an update tomorrow as soon as we hear from his foster Mum.

Gotta go play in the snow!!!

Hello Everyone and Pups ~

I am sooo excited I just can’t keep my tail still! First my royal nose smells SNOW is coming soon! Mom says they could be wrong, but I caught her charging up the camera. Anyway… let’s all hope!

The BIG news is about two new MaPaw sweeties named Tabatha (10) and Sabrina (9). Miss Tabatha is laid back and calm and Miss Sabrina is a pipsqueak! They joined us MaPaw pups a couple of weeks ago and they are both so very nice, BUT they aren’t staying with MaPaw…

Seems Tabatha and Sabrina came to MaPaw to find their forever mom right away. And she is an Angel among the Seniors! We all talk about the lucky ones that Linda has adopted. And Tabatha and Sabrina will join her on Tuesday ~ Lucky Girls!

We wish the girls ~ and Linda ~ sibe vibes for their new life. We will miss them and wish we could have had more time to play, but they have such an exciting life and home waiting for them. We are all doing the happy husky dance!

Drive safely Heather and Justin as you take the girls south to Linda. May you all have a safe journey. We are all hoping and dancing for the snow, but hope it will wait until your travels are complete. Tabatha and Sabrina, you are so lucky! Don’t forget to send woo woos with all the news!
