Congratulations Innoko!!

Innoko is a beautiful red and white boy that was left to fend for himself in his yard. You can see in the “before” photo how his hair was burnt from the sun. His fur has now turned a very dark and beautiful cinnamon color now that all the dead burnt hair is gone. Innoko came into rescue severely heartworm positive and is on medical hold while he goes through his treatment. He has gained 22 pounds since coming into rescue and he is a little on the chubby side. Now to lose a couple of those pounds… During his treatment Innoko has not really been with other dogs. He will be dog-tested at a later date to see how he does. Please look for updates on this handsome boy!

**Update Sept 19-2014 – The one time skinny little boy now weights 79 lbs. He was at the vet today for another HW test and has since gained 33lbs. He is now HW Negative!

Skye is a pretty, petite 1 year old that needed a bit of help from her friends. Somehow she fractured her front leg and her owner could not provide the medical attention necessary. She needed the help of MaPaw and friends to arrange the needed surgery in an attempt to save her leg.
Surgery was scheduled and a plate and pins were attached to the fractured leg so it could heal properly and add extra strength. Our girl was a great patient and the surgery was a success. Skye gets a little anxious if crated, but is trustworthy in the house.

Dempsey is a young grey and white husky that is a knock out! His warm brown eyes and contagious grin are sure to melt your heart. He has quickly become a favorite among the MaPaw family.

Dempsey is estimated to be 1 year old and is the typical Siberian that is beautiful, but often misunderstood. This boy is still a puppy and can be quite mouthy when wanting your attention. He has had no apparent training and likes getting his own way. He acts like a big puppy that has not been taught manners. We are working with him on that and he is a quick learner that wants to please.

He is good with dogs his size or larger and spends many hours in the fenced-in play area romping with the other huskies. He also enjoys walks and is quite good on a leash ~ for a husky of course!

Dempsey will be best placed in a sibe-savvy home that will give him the structure he needs and wants. He needs a home that can lay down the ground work for good behavior. Sage is gentle, loving, bright eyed and quick to befriend everyone. She lives for belly rubs and affection and will let you know if you’ve stopped rubbing her belly too soon! She loves food and walks and gets super excited when she sees her leash. She longs for lots of walks, and pulls a bit on lead (but not much by husky standards). Sage is an especially gifted girl who has been in rescue for a few years, helping other dogs. She had the ability to warn people when her epileptic best husky friend was about to have a seizure.
She lost her friend recently and now this sweet girl needs a family of her very own to bond with, and to get out and have some fun!

Congratulations Bubba!

Eclipse (Bubba)
Bubba to his friends – is a lovable 8 year old Siberian Husky that is a sweet, affectionate boy. Unfortunately Bubba’s family had to move to a place where dogs were not welcomed. It broke their
heart to lose their friend and we assured them we would find Bubba a home that would love and spoil him.
Bubba is great to cuddle with! He is housebroken and is trustworthy in the house. He is a Velcro dog and you will often find him putting his head in your lap and looking up at you with those soulful brown eyes. He is content anywhere as long as he is near you.
If you are looking for a calmer companion to be at your side, Bubba may be the perfect fit for you.

Congratulations Nellie!!

Nellie is a sweet and petite girl with warm brown eyes guaranteed to
melt your heart. She is estimated to still be a puppy, 7 to 9 months
old, that somehow lost her family and friends. Sadly, her owners were
located but never came to take this wonderful girl home. We can’t
imagine why they didn’t. She has fast become one of our MaPaw
favorites.
As with most young huskies, Nellie has a lot of energy and loves to
play with other dogs. She is always looking for human attention and
wants to be near her family. She is an affectionate, loving girl that
will make someone a wonderful companion.
Nellie is a very smart girl and a quick learner. She will be a
wonderful addition to a family that will keep up with her manners and
basic training and lots and lots of love.

Congratulations Sitka!!

Sitka is a handsome 1 year, 8 month old Siberian Husky born on December 9, 2012. In his short life, Sitka has been passed around to 5 homes! We have promised him we would find his forever home that will always love and care for him. Somebody is going to get very lucky!
Sitka is a sweetheart, pure and simple. He has a sunny personality and a contagious smile. He is very smart and loves attention. He has a great voice and loves to carry on a Siberian woo-woo conversation. He loves to play with the other foster dogs, especially the females.
This poor pup has been shuffled around through no fault of his own. He came in very thin, scared and nervous. Both the shelter personnel and MaPaw volunteers have made wonderful progress with him and though he may be timid at first, he quickly warms up and becomes your new best friend. He does need a little help building up his confidence and gives great kisses once he knows you.
