The Boys Go On a Road Trip…

Hello Puppers ~
On Friday (October 29th), Joshua and Samson loaded up in the car for a life changing ride. They had no idea where they were going, but these boys couldn’t wait to get on the road.

Joshua spent the first part of the ride trying to get in the front seat with my Mum. Here’s a photo of him trying to snuggle his way up to the front. Mum tried to tell him that he wasn’t a lap dog, but he didn’t want to hear it.

Samson was busy watching the road behind us. He spent the first part of the ride counting cars and making faces at the cars behind him.

When the boys realized that this wasn’t any quick ride to the store, they finally settled in and got comfortable. Joshua started out sleeping on the floor behind the front seats, but when it was time to change positions he decided to sleep on the arm of Kathy’s seat. Mum said he was even snoring!!!

Samson finally gave up his watch out the back window and decided to curl up for a nice nap as they hit the highway.

Just 2 hours later, the boys met their new family. Their new Mom and Dad couldn’t wait to meet the boys and the boys were just as happy to meet them. They took a stroll around their big yard (fenced in, of course) and quickly made themselves at home inside. After investigating the house, Joshua curled up in front of the sliding glass door for a nap and Samson was happy to lay around for belly rubs.

We are so happy for Josh and Samson! They went through a lot to get to MaPaw and are now set to be spoiled for the rest of their lives.

Deacon Joins His New Family!

Hello Puppers ~
Deacon joined MaPaw in May after he had been attacked by another dog. The attack left a hole in his ear, but this sweet boy didn’t hold any grudges against other dogs. In fact, he loved to play with the other dogs in his foster home.

Deacon initially met his family last weekend and they were excited to bring him home, but they wanted to make sure that they had everything they would need for Deacon. So they decided to wait a week before they welcomed him home. Today, Deacon traveled to his new home and was very happy to see them!

Congrats Deacon! We look forward to many updates!

MaPaw Welcomes 2 More Pups…

Good evening Puppers ~
We have 2 new additions to the MaPaw family to tell you about.

The first pup is Sadie. She is a gorgeous gray and white. At 10 years young, she is looking for her furever home. She loves hanging out with pups and humans. Sadie is a polite pup with a moderate level of energy. She loves going for walks and taking rides in the car. Interested in a more mature gal with a little spunk? Contact us to learn more about Sadie!

Our second pup actually joined MaPaw with his sis, but she’s already been adopted. She has a very important job to do, which I’ll post about later… Anyway this handsome devil is Morgan. He is all of 13 weeks old and ready to take on the world ~ husky style! He’s a smart little boy and will need someone that will continue the training and guidance Morgan will need.

Welcome to our newest family members!

Sadie

Age: 11 Years
Sex: Female
Size: Average

Staying with her Family

Sadie is a classic grey and white Siberian Husky full of energy and spunk. At twelve years, she has put the puppy pranks aside but she still enjoys walks, car rides and hanging out with her family.

Sadie is a curious and friendly girl who is happiest when she is with someone nearby. She would be best placed in a home with a retired couple or someone that will not leave her for more than several hours. In return, you will have a best friend for life that will absolutely love you and always be at your side.

Sadie is wonderful with people and older, calmer dogs she can play with and share doggy times. She is very frightened of loud noises such as fireworks, thunder and gunshots. She is a proud wearer of the Thundershirt, which helps her with her confidence.

If you are looking for an old friend to feel comfortable with and share good times, please ask us about Sadie. This lovely lady may be just what you are looking for!

Boomer

Age: Approximately 2 – 3 Years
Sex: Male
Size: Large

Congratulations Boomer!!!

Boomer is a very handsome Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute who is the best of both breeds. He is a big boy weighing in at 65 pounds and is estimated to be two to three years old, but his exact age is unknown as he somehow lost his family.

Boomer was placed in our local shelter where he was cared for in the hopes that his humans could be found. Unfortunately, no one came to find him and our big boy was starting to get depressed. When we went to meet Boomer, it was love at first sight and we immediately knew this was a great dog that needed our help.

Boomer has settled into foster care and is quickly making many friends – both those with two legs and four. He is an even-tempered boy who is both playful and enjoys being a couch potato. He loves to cuddle and is very generous with kisses! He has a beautiful voice and woo-woos.

Boomer is crate trained and knows his basic commands. He loves walks, riding in the car and being with family. All Boomer lacks is a home to call his own. If you are looking for a new friend, please consider Boomer!

Kai

Age: 1 1/2 Years
Sex: Male
Size: Average

Congratulations Kai!!!

Click here to check out my video on YouTube!

Kai is a strikingly handsome one and one-half year old male Siberian Husky. To match his rugged good looks, Kai has an equally amazing personality – everyone who meets him falls in love!

Kai’s favorite activities are trips to the dog park, sleeping on his dog bed, giving plenty of kisses, playing with his foster pups, and of course being loved by every person he can find! We believe Kai would excel in an active home where he can rough house with a canine companion (or more) and get lots of attention and love from his human family. In addition, due to his activity level and size, we feel that Kai would be best placed in a home with older children.

Kai is completely housebroken and crate trained. He is respectful in the house and eager to please (always a great trait in a Siberian). Kai is just an all around wonderful guy looking for a forever home where he can be a Very Important Pooch.

MaPaw Invades Fido’s Festival

Hello Puppers ~
This weekend MaPaw volunteers and a few of our available pups made their way to New Jersey for the Fido’s Festival, a 2 day event. From what we’ve heard, our pups stole the show! Jack, Kai, Cyrus, Shanuk, Kya, Tawney and Mason (he’s not on the site yet) were on their best behavior and had many admirers.

Throughout the weekend, raffle tickets were sold to raise money to cover Callie’s medical costs from her emergency hospitalization last week. The prize was an incredible one…a scooter donated to MaPaw by dogscooter.com (Thank you Dogscooter.com!).

Our lucky winner was Kathy P. from Hanover, New Jersey. Congratulation Kathy!

Thanks to Fido’s Festival for a great event. We had a blast!!!
