Alexa

Age: 5 – 6 Years
Sex: Female
Size: Average

Congratulations Alexa!!!

Alexa is a stunning black and white beauty with beautiful blue eyes. She is five to six years old and is one of our new kids on the block. Sadly, her human mom died and Alexa is looking for a new home where she can fit in and love her family.

Alexa is trustworthy in the house, crate trained and good with other dogs. She loves car rides and is an excellent passenger. She also thoroughly enjoys leash walks, something she was never apparently able to do. She never had the privilege of a fenced yard and loves relaxing outside under a close watch because, after all, she is a husky and shows the typical escape artist tradition.

All in all, Alexa is a wonderful girl that will make someone an excellent friend and companion. We are enjoying getting to know her and would love to tell you more about her.

Coda

Age: 2 Years
Sex: Male
Size: Average

Congratulations Coda!!!

Coda is a handsome gray and white two-year-old Siberian Husky that has an incredible personality and story to match. In March 2011, we were contacted about a young husky that had been shot and his femur was shattered. His owners loved him, but could not afford treatment and were reaching out to rescue to help him.

Every effort was made to save Coda’s rear leg and our orthopedic surgeon placed a plate in his leg. Unfortunately despite the surgery and subsequent crate rest, Coda’s leg needed to be amputated. He quickly adapted to three healthy legs and this happy boy can run and play again ~ as well or better than his four legged friends.

Coda has made many friends and fans on his way and we know why – to know him is to love him. He is a very happy and affectionate boy who is full of life. We are so proud of this guy and want to find him the very best forever home where he will be spoiled and pampered.

Colt

Age: 7 Months
Sex: Male
Size: Average

Congratulations Colt!!!

Click here to check out my video on YouTube!

Colt is a handsome Siberian Husky/German Shepherd puppy that is full of life and love. This seven month old is full of puppy energy and he is out to explore and investigate everything and everyone he meets.

Colt is a good puppy that is housebroken and crate trained. He is a smart boy ~ he is so proud that he knows “sit”! He loves to play with other dogs, which is a great outlet for his non-stop energy.

Colt has been in several homes during his young life with several names, but he quickly warms up to people especially when a welcoming lap is involved. He can frighten easily but quickly overcomes any fears. Colt will need to go to a home with a lot of time and patience to devote to his training. He will also need another active playmate to keep him occupied and out of mischief.

If you are a sibe/dog-savvy person that is willing to dedicate yourself to the training and care of Colt and you have another active canine playmate to keep him company, please contact us to learn more about this boy and to consider becoming his final forever home.

Two of Our Pups Find Their Furever Home…

Hello Puppers ~

We are always excited when one of our pups finds their furever home. Imagine how excited we were when we were contacted by a family looking to adopt not only one, but TWO of our pups!!!

Bryce and Brodie had joined their MaPaw foster homes within days of each other. Since their foster homes were close, the two met for playdates and frequently attended events together. These handsome boys were pals and got along great.

Well now these pals are brothers! Their foster homes were very sad to see them go, but are very happy that these boys will be together.

Congratulations to Brodie, Bryce and their new family!

Dash

Age: 1 – 2 Years
Sex: Male
Size: On the Smaller Side

Congratulations Dash!!!

Dash is a one to two-year-old male Siberian Husky with a black and white coat, penetrating blue eyes and irresistible freckles on his nose. He somehow lost his way and sadly his family never found him.

We aren’t sure of Dash’s past, however, he was very frightened and cowered in his run at the shelter. This little boy needed some help from a few friends and we welcomed him into rescue with open arms and hearts.

Dash’s foster Dad provided much needed TLC and slowly gained Dash’s confidence as he came out of his shell. He is enjoying his foster sibelings and going to the dog park. Dash is now ready to start his search for a forever home where he can continue to blossom into a loving companion ~ are you looking for a new best friend?

Aspen

Age: 1 – 2 Years
Sex: Male
Size: Large

Congratulations Aspen!!!

Click here to check out my video on YouTube!

Aspen is a very handsome all-white young male estimated to be 1 – 2 years who was found as a stray. Our best guess is he is a mix of Siberian Husky/Great Dane and perhaps some German Shepherd thrown in for good measure.

Aspen was being cared for by our friends at a local shelter, however, he was frightened and depressed in the shelter environment. Both the shelter and MaPaw became increasingly worried about his depression and weight loss.

Aspen is definitely a “people-dog” and wants to be close to his foster family and loves to sack out on the couch. He is gaining some much-needed weight and enjoying his new status as a V.I.P. (very important pup). Now Aspen just needs a family to call his own to love.

Aspen would do best in a home with no small children. Since Aspen is particular about his canine friends, he would do best as an only dog or perhaps with a female canine housemate.

Reba

Age: 10 Months
Sex: Female
Size: Average

Congratulations Reba!!!

Click here to check out my video on YouTube!

Reba is a ten-month-old darling with a red and white coat and gentle blue eyes that has quickly warmed herself into our hearts. She was found as a stray, though we can’t imagine losing such a wonderful girl.

Reba has a lot of puppy energy and loves to play with the other pups – this girl can run! She is very affectionate with people and enjoys quality time with her humans after a good play session. Reba gives great husky hugs and kisses!

Reba is settling into her foster home. She is housebroken and trustworthy for her age. She will need another canine companion or someone very active to channel her puppy energy, as well as someone that will dedicate time and patience in her further training.

And yes, like her namesake she has a beautiful voice!

MaPaw Welcomes 3 New Pups

Hello Puppers ~

The past few days have been rather busy for MaPaw. We’ve welcomed 3 new pups into MaPaw foster homes!

The first pup joined his MaPaw foster home on Wednesday (June 1st) after an urgent phone call from the shelter where he was staying. It seems that this poor boy was very scared and not handling the shelter environment well at all. After an evaluation (which he passed) and an introduction to his housemates, he was sprung from the shelter and on his way to a home environment!

His foster home has named him Dash. He is estimated to be 18 – 24 months old. Since he is still new to MaPaw, we are getting to know him and hope to have his bio page available soon…

On Saturday, MaPaw brought 2 new pups in. The first was Nala, a 9 month old female that was surrendered to MaPaw. The older pup in her home was not finding Nala’s puppy energy very enjoyable so her family felt a home with a more compatible playmate would be in Nala’s best interest.

She joined her foster home early Saturday afternoon and this young gal has done nothing but play, play, play with her housemates! She is having a blast ~ check out her video to see her in action!

The second pup to join MaPaw on Saturday was Aspen. He had been a long time guest at a local shelter. The shelter environment had gotten to him and his health was beginning to suffer. Once again, our volunteers jumped into action and sprung this big boy from the shelter. His housemates met with him at the Farm and after brief introductions, they were tearing around the yard Husky style! It was clear that Aspen was relieved to be out of the shelter. His foster home may decide to change his name since he doesn’t seem to respond to it (or is it selective hearing ~ ha ha…).

Check back for updates on our newest additions. Welcome Dash, Nala and Aspen!!!

In Memory of Alexis

In memory of a wonderful girl who joined our family to help Sullivan (our blind Siberian) deal with the loss of his best friend Gambit. You did that and so much more. You faced all of the health challenges and overcame all except the Diabetes. We miss your beautiful blue eyes and smile, you are forever in our hearts.
