Congratulations Maxine!
Maxine is only eight months old and has been bounced around quite a bit. Before coming into rescue, this young girl was living 24/7 in a liquor store with two other dogs, one of which was attacking her. With the help of friends and other rescues, Maxine was released to MaPaw and has been given the "thumbs up" by our vet. She is scheduled to be spayed August 17th and will be available for adoption to a forever home soon after.
Maxine is a high energy girl as you would expect from a husky puppy. She loves to race around her foster home's backyard with canine friends and chase her toy when you throw it. She is doing well with her leash training; she is very strong and pulls hard at first but then calms down and will even do a husky version of heel. She is very smart and a champion counter-surfer.
Maxine craves human attention and will follow you from room to room. As you can see, she enjoys landscaping and helping with the laundry. She fancies herself as a lap dog and if she can't be in your lap then she lays so she is at least touching you somehow and wanting to be very close. She is happy now and thriving in a home environment where she can be one of the family.
Maxine is housebroken and crate trained and sleeps through the night in her crate. As long as you pay a lot of attention to her she is great. She is a sweetie and, typical of young Siberians, she can be a handful. She will need to go to a home that has the time and patience to continue in her training. She will be best placed in a home with a fenced yard and another active dog to entertain and play with.
