This charming six-year-old began life as a beloved family pet. Then, no fault of his own, he was banished outside where he spent the next four years chained in the backyard, living under the deck. After pleading with the owner for over a year, a Good Samaritan finally convinced them to surrender Keno to rescue for a second leash on life.
We fell in love with Keno as soon as we met him. He quickly made friends with his new canine buddies and enjoys romping in the backyard. He is great with other dogs and friendly with women and men, but you can see his energy level kick up a notch when the guys are around – he barks and bounces – C'mon guys, let's PLAY!
Keno has successfully completed heartworm treatment and is as good as new. At six years old he is in that perfect spot – the adolescent craziness is past, but he still enjoys activity when offered. He loves walk time and is content to spend a short period of time wandering outside and then return indoors to be with "his humans". He frequently vocalizes his pleasure at how his life has changed for the better.
